Dr. Alex Galperin
Dr. Galperin completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Long Island University and he received his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from the New York State University at Stony Brook - Long Island in 2000. Upon graduation, he completed his residency at JFK Hospital in Edison, New Jersey. Dr. Galperin has kept his clinical skills current by attending continuing education courses to learn the latest advances in dentistry. Also, he participated in the Aloha Medical Mission to Loag, Phillipines with a team of doctors to repair cleft lip and palate.
Dr. Polina Chernyak
Dr Polina Chernyak always strives to provide exceptional dental care for all of her patients. She believes that oral health is the center of systemic and social health, and would like all her patients to have a complete grasp on their smiles.
Dr. Chernyak received her Doctor of Dental
Surgery degree from New York
University and her Bachelor of Science in Marine Vertebrate Biology from SUNY Stony Brook University. She completed a one year General Practice Residency at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, NY. She was then chief resident at Methodist Hospital in Park Slope, Brooklyn for a second year General Practice Residency.
Dr. Chernyak believes in providing dental care to undeserved communities. She has participated in dental outreaches to Ile a Vache, Haiti and Granada, Nicaragua. When she is not participating in continuing education in cosmetic and general dentistry, she is hiking, camping or skiing with her husband.
Dr. Adam Pristera
Dr. Pristera has been with Chelsea Dental Arts since 2010. Prior to joining, Dr. Pristera worked in private practice in NYC. Dr. Pristera is a graduate of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, Advanced Graduate Program in Endodontics. Currently, Dr. Pristera is a Board eligible endodontist. Dr. Pristera received his D.D.S. Degree from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Valedictorian of his class. He is recognized by OMICRON KAPPA UPSILON (OKU) for his scholastic achievement. Dr. Pristera completed his General Practice Residency at University Hospital of UMDNJ Newark, NJ providing him with experience working with medically compromised patients and extensive oral surgical procedures. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a minor in Biology at Binghamton University. Dr. Pristera is an active member of many dental associations and area study clubs (ADA, AAE, AAO, NYCDS, NYSDA) completing many hours of continuing education courses. Dr. Pristera's passion for dentistry and continued education assures that his patients are receiving dental care at the highest level.
